The official prize-giving ceremony of the 7th round of the Russian Rally Cup is about to start in a few minutes from the moment we're writing these news. And it's pleasant to announce that despite all unexpected difficulties which the G-Force Motorsport crew faced (like dust on SS1, stop on SS3 due to an accident and brake problems on SS4 and SS5), Boris Gadasin and Vladimir Demyanenko finished eigth overall and took third place in the national 4000H category for out-fashioned groupN cars!
SS3 (Nevel) was stopped after an accident with crew №15 (Igor Vazhenin/Evgeniy Krasnovid). Their car hit an electricity pylon and it fell across the road. Our crew (Gadasin/Demyanenko) called to the HQ to inform organisers about the accident on the route... The ambulance sent to the place of crash delivered both members of the crew to a local hospital. According to the words of deputy clerk of the course Oleg Myslevitch, the driver suffered brain concussion. Start of SS5 delayed.
At the Stewards' Meeting it was decided to apply a 2-minutes start interval on the second loop of stages for all the crews. The crew of Boris Gadasin who lost time after trailing the dust of Mikhail Lepekhov who rejoined the road in front of Boris (after an accident on SS1), was moved up to 12th position in the start order for the 2nd section. However, the start of loop 2 will be delayed by 25 minutes.
After the yesterday's "enormous" cold, today was like being in heaven. Still windy, but sunnily and almost comfortably warm. All preparation events took place during the day: recconnaisance, administrative checks and scrutineering, as well as the official press-conference held by the Organisers...
The 7th round of the Russian Rally Cup - "Blue Lakes - 2009" - will be held in the Pskov region on May, 2nd. Two G-Force Motorsport crews will take part in the race.

We understand that a human being can't resist such a huge earthquake, an nobody could foresee the time and place where it would happen. We bring our condolences to family members and close people of the casualties, and wish speedy recovery to all the injured.
